We believe all of us deserve to be loved.

What do you believe in?

Maybe your family used to drag you to church as a kid but you don’t drag yourself there anymore. Maybe the idea of religion left a bitter taste in your mouth as a kid (or adult) and you haven’t been able to wash it out since then.

Maybe you don’t believe in a higher power. Maybe the idea of a higher being is one that you cannot grasp, especially among scientific observations like the Big Bang Theory and evolution. Or maybe you believe a higher being exists, but you don’t know how to even connect with that being.

Maybe you are a Christian but feel wobbly or unsure in your faith. You go to church every Sunday, but you sense that there is something more you need to do to feel closer to God. To not feel like He is mad at you or ashamed at you like You believe Him to be (because trust us — He’s not!)

Whatever your belief, we are here to tell you that you are loved.

You are loved because God loves you.

01 — He loved you from the beginning.

Genesis 1:1 states, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Before God even spoke one element of the world we know into existence, He already knew who you were. And He loved you enough already to create a world where you could live and thrive.

02 — He loved you when sin entered the world.

When Adam and Eve snacked on the fruit from the tree that God instructed them not to eat from, they opened a door for sin to enter the world. Indeed, this door has been the gateway for some of our worst demons and darkest moments. Yet, knowing that this would happen, God still created the world, created Adam and Eve, created that tree, and created you.

He already had a plan to rescue His creation—now stained with darkness and shame and guilt—and bring them back to Him and His heart. To bring them back to that paradise and purity in the Garden of Eden, when He walked with them in the evening and had a close relationship with them.

03 — He loved you when Jesus died with sins of the world on His shoulders.

So what was God’s grand plan?

Send His Son down to our dark and broken world. Jesus lived 33 years among us. During His last 3 years, He offered grace, love, and healing to all who believed He was God’s beloved Son whom He sent.

And when the time arrived for Him to be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, He shouldered all our sins—past, present, and future—and bore them as He suffered on a wooden cross, the bark of the wood digging into the open wounds on His back from lashes. People spat at Him. Mocked Him. Hated Him. Yet there on that cross He stayed. And there, in excruciating pain that’s difficult to imagine, He breathed his last . . . and died.

04 — He loved you when Jesus rose from the grave, our sins still buried.

Three days later on a Sunday morning, Jesus’s followers approached His tomb and were surprised to not find His broken body there. Instead, He appeared to them—holes in His hands and feet of where the nails were!

Jesus was alive—a miracle! And even more miraculously, our sins no longer weighed down His shoulders. Instead, He offered forgiveness, grace, healing, love, and belonging to any who believed that He was the sacrifice needed to redeem us of our sins, of our pasts, of our brokenness.

Jesus came to give us an abundant life. Abundant.

Not a shameful one. A painful one. A depressed one. An anxious one. An addicted one. A guilty one.

An abundant life. Full of His love, mercy, and grace.

05 — He loves you today.

It’s 2,000 years later, and Jesus is still offering all these things. His love is unconditional, meaning you can never do anything to earn or lose His love. No sin, no stain, no shame, and no fear is big enough to defeat His love for you, daughter of God!

He gives it to you freely. He wants you to know you belong in His love and wants you to feel safe there.

He sees you as you are, daughter of God. He created you beautifully and wonderfully. He knows your heart better than anyone. He sees the good, the bad, the ugly there (as He does with all our hearts). And He loves every bit of it.

The God of the Universe does not want your checkboxes or religious rules or sacrifices.

He wants your sincere heart. He wants a true, close relationship with you: His beloved daughter.
