The God of Contrasting Seasons
Elijah felt every bit of humanity in that moment. He felt lost hopes, broken dreams, devastating insecurities, and heartbreaking failures. In his terrified state, he hit his spiritual rock bottom. And it hurt. But God is still God, no matter what season we go through. He’s the God of all-consuming fire as much as He is the God of quiet whispers.

Repair Your Altar
My “altar”—my place and process of meeting with God, worshipping Him, and hearing from Him—was broken.
And in even more full-blown transparency, it’s the reason why The Found Woman has been offline for a couple of months. I’d love to say it was for Sabbatical reasons, but . . . it wasn’t.

Dirt, Stones, and Outstretched Hands: A Study on the Promiscuous Girl in John 8
I used to read this passage of Scripture and think nothing of it, really. Maybe I thought that I couldn’t relate to that woman thrown into the dirt and into the middle of a crowd that had gathered to see Jesus, not a woman accused and stoned.
I couldn’t relate to her shame, fear, guilt, and self-esteem. I couldn’t relate to the feeling of being thrown into the dirt in front of strangers...

Here Comes This Dreamer
Different goals. Different years. Same story.
It’s the story of using the new year as a fresh start for accomplishing new (and old) dreams alike. We’ve all seen this story in our own lives.
As I’ve been re-reading Joseph’s own story in Genesis, I can’t help but notice how dreams played a significant and transformative role throughout his life.
You see, Joseph had big dreams.
Great dreams.
