The God of Contrasting Seasons
Elijah felt every bit of humanity in that moment. He felt lost hopes, broken dreams, devastating insecurities, and heartbreaking failures. In his terrified state, he hit his spiritual rock bottom. And it hurt. But God is still God, no matter what season we go through. He’s the God of all-consuming fire as much as He is the God of quiet whispers.

Repair Your Altar
My “altar”—my place and process of meeting with God, worshipping Him, and hearing from Him—was broken.
And in even more full-blown transparency, it’s the reason why The Found Woman has been offline for a couple of months. I’d love to say it was for Sabbatical reasons, but . . . it wasn’t.
But this isn’t about me.
This is about God, telling me—telling us, His beloved daughters—to repair our altars.
Find a new quiet time routine that works for you.
Find new ways to pray to Him throughout the day.

So You're Stuck in a Rut? You’re Not Alone
The “New Year Kaylee” was full of hope and light and joy. She was excited to dedicate January to sitting down with God and planning for the year. For this ministry. For many new and exciting things.
She had her planners laid out neatly. Pens clicked and ready. Music on and jamming. Everything was ripe
—until one day.

Here Comes This Dreamer
Different goals. Different years. Same story.
It’s the story of using the new year as a fresh start for accomplishing new (and old) dreams alike. We’ve all seen this story in our own lives.
As I’ve been re-reading Joseph’s own story in Genesis, I can’t help but notice how dreams played a significant and transformative role throughout his life.
You see, Joseph had big dreams.
Great dreams.

Defining the Greatest Love Story Ever Told
Love.
It’s been a topic desired, pursued, and quoted for ages. It’s been the focus of literature and film and art for just as long.
Why do we love the idea of love?
Perhaps it’s because love gives us a warm fuzzy feeling, like watching a Christmas Hallmark movie where everything is predictable but feels oh so right (and yes, okay, a little cheesy).
